Banff Trail Riders 100th Anniversary Concert, 8 PM
In 1923, a club of 14 backcountry enthusiasts called the Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies was formed and this year marks 100 years since that organization began encouraging people to explore the ruggedly beautiful Banff wilderness on horseback. The concert will take place at the Banff Trail Riders Barns, an authentic western venue that has been providing horseback adventures in Banff National Park for over five decades. The venue offers a unique and intimate setting for this celebration of Canadian trail riding. It's a two-night affair: Tim Hus with opener Mariya Stokes on Friday and longtime pal and western songwriter extraordinaire Corb Lund on Saturday. Performing without their backing bands, the audience will be treated both nights to an intimate story and song-style show in an exclusive and up-close environment, with the artists taking the stage just a few feet away. Tim will be accompanied by his longtime travelin' partner Spider Bishop on upright bass presenting their music as an acoustic Canadiana Cowboy Country Music duo. Doors open at 7 PM, Concert starts at 8 PM. Tickets are $49 and available here

Across This Land in Stories and Song - A Salute to Stompin' Tom featuring Tim Hus
Be part of a very special salute to music icon Stompin’ Tom Connors. The legendary “Man with The Black and the Stompin' Board” became part of the Canadian cultural landscape and his songs continue to entertain people from coast to coast to coast with an unparalleled sense of national pride. This concert show performed by Tim Hus and his band will feature many of the songs that made Stompin’ Tom a Canadian treasure, and also will include stories of the incredible life of Stompin' Tom. Hus is a celebrated Canadian western artist himself who proudly carries on the tradition of writing songs about working Canadians and Canada’s rich history. Stompin’ Tom handpicked Hus to tour with him, not only as his opening act, but to play in his band as well. Hus performed at Stompin Tom’s funeral where he was also a pallbearer. He will share his personal stories of his friend and mentor Stompin' Tom in a can’t miss show of music, patriotism and board stomping.
“I’ve been looking for 30 years for a young guy who’s proud to write songs about our country. I’d like to pass the torch to Tim Hus.” -Stompin’ Tom Connors
