Over the past decade Tim Hus and his band have developed a growing, loyal, grass roots fan base performing to enthusiastic audiences in a variety of venues throughout the provinces and internationally. The Canadiana songwriter has over 1600 live performances under his guitar strap and a career that has been gaining altitude faster than a Beaver bushplane with a wide open throttle! Here are some of the highlights of the jouney:
-Recorded new album with producer Harry Stinson (Grammy nominated producer who has recorded with Steve Earle, Elton John, George Jones, and many more) to be released in 2013
-Recieved a personal invitation to open two national concert tours for Canadian icon Stompin' Tom Connors where he was heralded as "The best opening act Tom has had in his 45+ year career"
-Performed at Stompin' Tom's memorial concert on national television and was honoured to be a pallbearer at Tom's funeral
-Signed to Stony Plain Records (joining the legendary Ian Tyson on the label) in 2008
-Co-wrote the song "Hurtin' Albertan" with Corb Lund which was a certified gold selling album in Canada
-Nominated as "Roots Artist of the Year" at the 2011 Canadian Music Awards
-Recognized as "Songwriter of the Year" at the Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2009
- Represented Alberta at the province's centennial celebration on parliament hill in Ottawa
- Represented Alberta at the prestigious Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, D.C.
-Recieved an invitation to be the first Canadian band to perform on the Caribbean island of Martinique
-Released 6 critically acclaimed albums of original songs
-Named Hockeytown "Top 10 Roots/Country Albums of 2010" by Toronto Star
-Selected in the Top 5 country albums of the year as published in Country Music News for each of the last 3 albums (Hockeytown, Bush Pilot Buckaroo, and Huskies & Husqvarnas)
-Honoured to perform at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver in 2010
-Winner of the Country 105 Rising Superstar competition and a winner of the Calgary Folk Music Festival Songwriting Contest
-Licensed two songs to appear on the soundtrack for the movie Hank Williams First Nations which won the award for Best Soundtrack for a Feature Film in Nashville, Tennessee.
-Appeared dozens of times on television and radio and was featured in a Calgary Stampede promotional TV commercial
-Featured guest on Cowboy Country Televison, and Alberta On My Mind, as well as several appearances on CMT
-Performed at the Grand Opening of the new Stompin' Tom Center in Skinner's Pond, PEI on Canada's 150th anniversary: July 1st, 2017.
