HUSKIES & HUSQVARNAS
(2006)
-AVAILABLE NOW!-
Huskies & Husqvarnas is the third and highly
anticipated CD by country/roots songwriter Tim Hus. The
album showcases some of Canada’s finest western musicians:
Myran Szott on fiddle (Ian Tyson), Craig Korth on banjo,
dobro, guitar (Jerusalem Ridge), and Charlie Hase on peddle
steel (Gary Fjellgaard) as well as a guest vocal performance
by CCMA and Juno award winning Corb Lund.
Tim Hus has a voice as sweet and angelic as a Husqvarna
chainsaw and a list of songs longer than a Saskatchewan
fence line! This new album of outlaw roots music features
12 outstanding songs about bootleggers, buckin’ horses,
bulldozers and everything that is embraced in the West.
From CB radio and truck driving songs about hauling domestic
beer on the Trans-Canada highway to working the mines of
Flin Flon to the lonesome lure of the North and prohibition
era rumrunning: Tim’s distinctive songwriting and
spirited performances by the members of his dynamic band
stand to make this album a cornerstone of authentic Canadiana!

SONGS OF WEST CANADA
(2002)
The music on this debut album is solid country/folk storytelling
deeply rooted in the people, places, and themes of western
Canada. Tim’s writing style draws on personal experience
growing up in this part of the world, working and living
in a commercial fishing and forestry based lifestyle. The
themes range from historical events such as the driving
of the last spike on the C.P.R. to miners, loggers, salmon
fishermen, rodeo cowboys, and British Columbia truck drivers.
Combining genuine storytelling, distinctive songwriting,
and spirited performances, Songs of West Canada is turning
heads as an album of authentic Canadiana.
