REVIEW
HUSKIES & HUSQVARNAS
It's fabulously raw, somebody's occasionally behind
the beat and some of the rhymes can be shaky but
Tim Hus has a flawless ear and eye for the woes
and cares of the blue-collar dude, whether he's
a cowboy, train robber or just a hurtin' Albertan.
"Beerhauler" rattles off seemingly every
beer brand in Canada while "Rumrunner"
is a knee-slappin' tour of 1920s prohibition car
chases in the Crow's Nest Pass. "Great Plains
Tour" is an amazingly evocative look at the
musical touring life and his cover of Danny Mack's
"Canadian Cowboy" is spot on.
Tim Hus is a Canadian treasure. Rating 4/5
