Tim Hus has a voice sweeter than a Husqvarna chainsaw, a wit that is sharper than rusty barbed wire, and a list of songs longer than a Saskatchewan fence line! Following his acclaimed CD Bush Pilot Buckaroo comes the highly anticipated fifth album (his 2nd for Stony Plain Records) Hockeytown joining Corb Lund and the legendary Ian Tyson on the label. Hus comes at his audience like a runaway rig, while firing off image-laden lyrics with the intensity of a western gunslinger.

The Alberta based singer with the black hat and easygoing personality is a captivating and crowd pleasing performer who easily draws listeners into the settings of his storytelling country and roots music. Tim's distinctive songwriting and spirited performances by the members of his dynamic band stand as a cornerstone of authentic Canadiana!

Even though Tim Hus is a young songwriter he writes the kind of songs that come from experience. He’s traveled a lot of miles, heard a lot of stories, and made a lot of friends along the way. He’s been everything from a beer truck driver to a sawhand, a salmon farmer to a tree planter, and a cabinet maker to a well driller. And he sings about all of it.

Onstage at Klondike Days
Tim has performed in many venues throughout Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and the Maritimes, repeatedly being asked to return. In 2002 and 2006 he received a very positive response to his music while performing in Germany.

Tim tours and performs concerts with his band Tim Hus & The Rocky Mountain Two, featuring Billy MacInnis on fiddle and lead guitar and Riley Tubbs on upright string bass. Billy is one of the most accomplished fiddle players in the Maritime provinces of Canada. He has appeared with country recording artists such as Prairie Oyster and John Allen Cameron and has been playing fiddle for the legendary Stompin' Tom for the last six years. Solid licks and agreeable melodies reinforce the songs while Tubbs lays down a solid rhythm with doghouse slap and a thick groove. Occasionally the group is joined by Pat Phillips on the drums.

Tim and his band will continue to perform in support of Hockeytown with performances at festivals, folk clubs and music venues throughout Canada.
